  • 4 cups ready-to-use PUR chicken broth
  • 4 onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Toasted baguette bread
  • Grated Gruyère cheese

The steps

  1. In a saucepan, fry the onions in the butter until caramelized.
  2. Sprinkle with flour and stir.
  3. Slowly pour in the beef stock while stirring.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Pour soup into ovenproof bowls, top with toast and cheese.
  6. Toast in the oven until the cheese is melted and golden.
